Economic and workforce development is an important component of California Community Colleges' missions. EWD's investments in industry-driven programs directly benefits community colleges across the state by:
- demonstrating the market responsiveness and relevancy of community colleges to business and industry
- increasing the menu of services available to business and industry
- creating new curriculum (R&D) for community colleges
Our Education Partners
California Community Colleges – advancing the state's interests in a skilled workforce and an educated citizenry.
California Career Technical Education (CTE) – provides students with a pathway to postsecondary education and careers.
CTE Online – where CTE professionals come to support both the current academic success and the future career opportunities for California students.
Department of Education - Adult Education – serves more than two million students annually through public adult schools, community colleges, libraries, community and faith-based organizations, and correctional institutions.
Foundation for California Community Colleges – develops programs and services that promote excellence in education, and provide valuable learning opportunities for students throughout the state.
K-12 – Linking K-12 education with community colleges to build articulated programs for students.
